Precision Planting Winter Conference

Precision Planting Winter Conference 2022 is coming up quickly, and if you are able to attend it is an event you do not want to miss! Precision Planting is a company that provides precision ag technologies to help farmers grow in the smartest and most beneficial way possible. Their business began at their Tremont, IL location. Every year they host a winter conference to educate farmers from all over. Precision Planting describes the conference as, “Winter Conference is a free event for farmers to hear topics focused on improving farm operations, learn new strategies and techniques, and connect with other farmers.” Over 5,000 farmers globally attend the event.

At Winter Conference you will learn about topics from three categories: hearing from AgTech Creators, eliminating challenges, and you will be given the chance to connect with other growers. Both engineers and agronomists will discuss their focus on helping farmers improve their operations. When you learn about eliminating challenges, you will learn strategies and techniques to be used on the farm. There are demonstrations of the newest Precision Planting technologies, so you can see first hand how a product will work and could fit into your farm. Last, but definitely not least, connecting with other growers is arguably the best part of the conference. You can learn about what other people are doing on their farms and what experiences they may have had with certain Precision Planting technologies. You will also have the opportunity to talk to Precision Planting employees and dealers for further questions or conversation.

Here is what the itinerary would roughly look like for your day at the 2022 Precision Planting Winter Conference (schedule varies slightly for each location). Check-in opens an hour before the event begins, which happens at 8 a.m. Then, you would learn about the following topics: “New Vision for the Field”, “What’s Next”, “Planter Details that Make a Difference”, and “Emergence Matters”. After those topics are covered, there is a break for lunch at 12 p.m. The lunch served at the conference is always a top-quality meal that is a big hit among conference attendees. After lunch, two more topics are covered, “Utilizing Fertilizer Wisely” and “Lessons from the Precision Technology Institute”. The conference concludes at 3 p.m.

This year, Precision Planting is hosting 37 Winter Conference events throughout 20 locations, over the timespan of 4 days. The closest winter conference for people in our area is at the Tremont, IL location. The Tremont location is the only location that hosts the conference every day throughout the 4 days. The four days that the conference will be held begin on Tuesday, January 18th and go through Friday, January 21st. Availability for seats each day range above or below 700 seats remaining as of Thursday, January 6th. It is a high possibility that every seat in the building will be accounted for when the day of the conference arrives. The other locations go as far north as Fargo, ND, as far east as Harrisburg, PA, as far south as Victoria, TX, and as far west as Amarillo, TX. When you look at a map of the United States, conference locations cover the map in almost every part of the country, except for the western states.

To register for the conference, go to www.precisionplanting.com/special-event/winterconference. On that page, you can also learn more about the event and watch a video to see an overview of the event. The information provided in this article was the majority found through that website, however there is still more information available. Precision Planting’s Facebook page, @precisionplanting, is a great place outside of their website to find updates on events and products they have.
